An Internet hosting service is a service that runs Internet [[server]]s, allowing organizations or individuals to serve content to the Internet. Most hosting providers offer a variety of services from which the user can chose.

The types of services offered include full-featured hosting and limited (application-specific) hosting.

*Cloud hosting, in which the user only pays for the system time and space used, and capacity can be quickly scaled up or down as computing requirements change.

*DNS hosting service
*Game servers
*Wiki farms
